Job Summary
Kforce is seeking a Director of Product for Asset-Backed Financing (ABF) in New York, NY. This role involves leading the strategy for next-generation technology, analytics, and risk platforms for a multi-billion-dollar ABF business. The successful candidate will build tools for scenario analysis, exposure management, cashflow forecasting, and portfolio insights, partnering with engineering to design scalable data models and workflow systems. This position requires deep expertise in ABF deals, including loan behavior, waterfalls, risk pricing, and data gaps, to translate into impactful technology solutions.
Must Have
- Build and lead product strategy for ABF platforms (sourcing, diligence, modeling, execution, monitoring, risk management).
- Architect next-gen tools for scenario analysis, exposure management, cashflow forecasting, loss modeling, and real-time portfolio insights.
- Partner with engineering to design scalable ABF data models, ingestion pipelines, dashboards, and workflow systems.
- Work directly with investment teams to translate deal needs into technical requirements.
- Align global stakeholders, drive adoption, and ensure consistent user experience.
- Expertise in Consumer Credit, Residential Mortgages, Structured Credit (ABS), or Non-Performing Loans.
- Hands-on exposure to Intex, waterfalls, tranche modeling, collateral analytics, and loan-level behavior.
- Strong understanding of ABF risk drivers.
- Ability to speak fluently with engineers (data modeling, Python/SQL familiarity, APIs, dashboards).
- Ability to speak fluently with investors (deal structuring, performance drivers, risk considerations).
- Confident communicator capable of engaging senior front-office stakeholders.

Overview
Kforce is working with a global investment platform that is searching for a Director of Product to lead the next generation of technology, analytics, and risk platforms powering a multi-billion-dollar Asset-Backed Financing (ABF) business. This is a rare opportunity to build at the intersection of structured finance, investment decision-making, and advanced data engineering-within an environment that values domain expertise, precision, and execution excellence. This role is for someone who understands how ABF deals work: how loans behave, how waterfalls run, how risk is priced, and where data gaps can change investment outcomes. If you've sat close to the ABF desk, understand the mechanics of consumer or mortgage-backed credit, and can translate that expertise into scalable technology and analytical frameworks, this will be one of the most impactful product roles you will find in the market. What You Will Own
- Product Vision & Roadmap: Build and lead the strategy for platforms supporting sourcing, diligence, modeling, deal execution, performance monitoring, and risk management across global ABF strategies
- Analytics & Decision Tools: Architect next-gen tools for scenario analysis, exposure management, cashflow forecasting, loss modeling, KPIs, and real-time portfolio insights
- Data & Platform Architecture: Partner with engineering to design scalable ABF data models, ingestion pipelines, dashboards, and workflow systems
- Front-Office Partnership: Work directly with investment teams translating deal needs into technical requirements
- Product Leadership: Align global stakeholders, drive adoption, and ensure consistent user experience
Requirements
Required ABF Expertise (must have at least one major vertical)
- Consumer Credit: auto, unsecured personal loans, credit cards
- Residential Mortgages: agency and non-agency RMBS
- Structured Credit (ABS)
- Non-Performing Loans: charged-off receivables, distressed real estate, restructured debt
Ideal Background

Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
